Coffee Of The Month - March

Lucid Coffee Roasters are our first feature roaster in the new 'Coffee of the Month' series. This series aims to bring you wonderful & wild flavour experiences. Some of the coffees will be from origins you would expect to see in coffee competitions and some will hopefully be new origins to tick off the bucket list. One thing is for sure, all these coffees will be undeniably tasty!

Lucid Coffee Roasters, based in Belfast Northern Ireland is founded and owned by Stephen Houston. If the name isn’t already popping off the page, Stephen is a 2 time Irish Brewers Cup Champion and the 2019 Irish Aeropress Champion. On top of that he chairs the global Coffee Roasters Guild and is the Community Coordinator for SCA Ireland.

Lucid by definition is:  To be expressed clearly, easy to understand - and they certainly live up to this definition, sharing the price of the green coffee, roast profiles, and brewing advice without over complicating.

This month we are very excited, the coffee we’ve selected to feature is called ‘The Lady’. This Red Catuai variety has undergone a Carbonic Maceration Natural process. The Coffee is from Nwar Ban Gyi village, Myanmar and is grown at 1350 MASL. This lot is produced by a cooperative made up of 51 female-led farms and then processed by highly experienced professionals to create this amazing and unique coffee!

Expect vibrant tropical flavours, with notes of blackberry, pomegranate, vanilla and dark chocolate.

95c water temp

40g, 30-second bloom
5x 40g pours in 15-second pulses
